Spin-off of Netstal into an independent group

KraussMaffei Group announced that its Swiss business unit KraussMaffei HighPerformance AG (formerly Netstal-Maschinen AG) and the associated Netstal brand will be expanded into an independent group under the name Netstal. In addition to the headquarters in Näfels, sales and service subsidiary based in Stuttgart, as well as our two sales and service units in Barcelona and Singapore will be transferred to the new Netstal Group.

Employees from the Netstal sales and service organisation in existing KraussMaffei subsidiaries will also be transferred to the new group and integrated into existing or newly founded subsidiaries. As part of this restructuring, around 500 employees will transfer from the KraussMaffei Group to the Netstal Group, which will in future be managed from Näfels. The restructuring is scheduled to be completed by 1 October 2021. The existing organisational units will be renamed to the familiar Netstal name at the earliest possible date.

With the spin-off of Netstal into an independent group, the leading supplier of high-speed, high-performance injection moulding machines and systems is to be further developed and expanded. The management and staff in Näfels see this new perspective as a significant opportunity.

“We will do everything possible today and in the future to answer your questions as best we can. However, we would like to anticipate the most important messages now: The traditional Netstal brand will return and we will focus even more strongly on our markets and customers in the future. Your personal contact persons in purchasing, sales and service will continue to be available to you. The processing of orders and projects is also guaranteed. There will be no change in our basic strategic orientation. We will continue to work intensively on developing the thin-wall packaging, beverage closures and PET markets. The new PET-Line with side discharge presented in 2020 and this year’s expansion of the Elios series are proof of this. More top innovations will follow in the coming years. In medical technology, Netstal is excellently positioned in high-speed mass applications for laboratory and consumable materials. This market position is to be further strengthened and expanded in the future. In all these areas, we continue to rely on the cooperation with the leading manufacturers of components and parts for our products,” stated Mr Fritz Weber (Head of Operations Netstal) and  Mr Remo Fluri (Head of Purchasing Netstal Group)

With the creation of an independent group, Netstal gains promising strategic options for the further development of a growth-oriented Netstal Group, with its own sales and service companies in the most important markets.
